Please save the date on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 9 am to 5 pm, for the 2nd Annual Georgetown Center for Healthy Aging Symposium. This event is an opportunity to gather with colleagues to share information about current and planned aging-related research and projects. The year’s theme is “Advancing Knowledge about Aging to Improve Health and Healthcare.” This event will be hybrid (in-person and online).

Look for a call for abstracts in early 2023. Abstracts may focus on basic, clinical, population, social and behavioral sciences, as well as policy, focused on using knowledge about aging processes to prevent and treat illness and disability. The day will include oral papers, panels, and posters. In addition, we will host breakout sessions on special topics such as new research collaborations, career development, community outreach, and grant proposal development. Networking opportunities will include a luncheon and a closing wine and cheese reception. If you have suggestions for a breakout session or general questions, please email Dr. Bill Rebeck (gwr2@georgetown.edu (new window)) or Dr. Pamela Saunders (saunderp@georgetown.edu (new window)).

This symposium is organized by the Georgetown Center for Healthy Aging.
